The Engineer Behind the Climate Change Train Wreck

Leslie Eastman — Legal Insurrection — March 24, 2013

Last week, we took a look at 2 graphic debunking recent climate change hysteria.

Recently, even more evidence was presented by British scientist David Whitehouse, the Science Editor of the Global Warming Policy Foundation. Despite the organization’s name, Whitehouse’s group held firm that their data indicate no warming trend; in fact, global temperatures are at a decade-long standstill.

Their original assertions were met with the usual vitriolic scorn and disbelief faced by all “deniers”. Yet, they fought back and prevailed: Britain’s Met Office, “a congenitally warmist organization”, was eventually forced to concede that have not risen or otherwise changed significantly for the past 10 years.

A.K. Haart of the Orphans of Liberty offers some thoughts about what the findings mean:

The most delightful thing about the climate train wreck is that it is happening so slowly….

One by one, Mother Nature hoists the liars by their own petard, but she isn’t rushing at it like an amateur. Oh no – this is a finely honed professional job. Her knives are sharp and the day is long.

She is taking her time, season by season, year by year. Clearly in no hurry, one might almost think she is enjoying herself. I certainly am.

Her cruelty is the stuff of legend – red in tooth and claw and all that, but I never thought she would sink her mighty talons into the plump, quivering flesh of climate alarmists – not in such a deliciously heartless way.

Via Glenn Reynolds comes an article that features the background on the engineer behind the first phase of this train wreck, “Climategate”. Many will recall that much of the initial skepticism about man-made global warming stems from a leaker who shared email communications between prominent international researchers within the U.K.’s University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU) network.  Continue reading, here….
