Energy Tax Reform Working Group — Environmental reasons from an expert why the wind turbine PTC must end

To the members of House Ways and Means Committee’s Energy Tax Reform Working Group:

I want to thank you very much for this opportunity to submit comments to the House Ways and Means Committee’s Energy Tax Reform Working Group. After reading my extensive comments I hope you will understand my position that the wind energy PTC, as part of Congress’s tax reform effort, should not be extended.

For decades the wind industry has enjoyed the support of the people and congress. My comments discuss how this undeserved support was accomplished through deception on a mass scale and by hiding the devastating impacts from wind turbines. As a result much of this support is dwindling.

I hope that after reading my comments that the House Ways and Means Committee’s Energy Tax Reform Working Group turbine will realize that there is far more evidence available to assume that 25% of all bird species could become extinct by 2054 due to wind turbines than from climate change as claimed by wind energy supporters.  After all it is the wind industry that has created the ongoing bird genocide, the proof lies under their turbines.

Thank you for considering these comments.

Sincerely yours,

Jim Wiegand

There is no end to the problems caused by ridiculously inefficient overpriced greed energy scheme. For these windpushers to claim they are concerned about the environment is ridiculous. They are only concerned about the money.

Way to go Jim! Wind energy and the PTC is such a partisan issue and it shouldn’t be. The truth is the truth, and you expressed it well. But will those in Congress who put votes and big money before people and the environment ever swing our way? Industrial-scale wind power can never work well. It is a sham. Yet the green machine and their cronies spend billions on it and solve nothing. A well-meaning segment of the public believes the lies of their lobbyists and salespeople…and people suffer, homes devalue, wildlife dies, and pristine land is industrialized. It is a crime.

Billslycat……….I did not say it in the comments but mortality study with the search area only 45 feet from the base of the turbine should have disclosed approx 500-600 bird and bat fatalities per MW/per year. I would also not be surprised if it were as high as 750 per MW/per year. Of course nothing close to this mortality was disclosed. It was hidden in rigged methodology and contrived formulas.
