Pictures from todays turbine protest in Port Elgin, Ontario

291 people lined up today to form the word HELP on the beach in Port Elgin, Ontario. Even though the wind coming off the lake was cold and very strong at times,  anti-wind turbine soldiers of all ages braved the November-like conditions and stood united.

A heartfelt thank you to every single person who came to the event, some from as far away as West Lincoln, Goderich, Niagara Falls and Sault Ste. Marie.

In spite of the frigid conditions, the spirit of the group was never dampened and clearly demonstrated the determination of rural Ontario not to be treated as energy slaves by the provincial Liberal government.

Had a great day at the beach! Cold winds…warm hearts! LOL Great to see old friends, and make new ones. We are beginning to work together as a province, not just municipalities. That is the first step. United we stand, and we are a force to be reckoned with!

Work together is the key. We know that cooperation between groups is gathering ‘steam’ so here is what needs to be done: the power will come when all of the anti-turbine groups complete a level of amalgamation with a council and appointed leader. Yes it goes without saying that lobbying for big money from government grants and
corporations would need to implemented. Imagine the size of protests, the attention from MPPs (their ass would now be on the line) and the growing voices as the “city-slicker-greenies” finally get the picture.
