Saskatchewan: Pull the Plug on wind power

The Dec. 2 letter from Michael McKinlay is indicative of the widespread misinformation regarding wind power.

In the first place, it is certainly not “free”. Companies invest millions of dollars in the construction of wind farms. Once the turbines are up and running they sell their interest to energy conglomerates, which then sell the power to local power distributors. All concerned want a good return on their investment. Therefore wind power costs far more than power generated by other means. Neither is the power “unlimited”. It is a documented fact that wind farms are, on average, only 30 per cent efficient.

McKinlay lives in Regina. He knows that none of these engines will be erected in his back yard.   Read full letter here….
