You’ve probably seen advertisements for e-cigarettes that promise to help you quit smoking. But do they really work? Is vaping safer than smoking? Should you consider using them if you’re trying to kick the habit? Let’s take a closer look at what evidence is available so far on e-cigarettes’ long-term health effects.

While there are no known cases of someone dying from an e-cigarette related illness, these devices have been linked with lung disease in some patients. These issues can be serious and life-threatening, but how likely are your chances of experiencing them? And should you use an electronic cigarette as part of a quitting strategy? We’ll talk about those questions here.

What is vaping?

Before we dive into the science, it’s important to understand exactly what vaping is. E-cigarettes — also called vaporizers or vape pens — are battery-powered devices that deliver nicotine and flavors via heated vapor. The user inhales it through a mouthpiece, which looks like a pen-shaped tube with a button on top. Some vapes come with a tank. This can hold liquid (or “e-liquid”) that contains propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, polyethylene glycol 400, flavorings, and sometimes nicotine. You fill up the tank by inserting cartridges loaded with different types of e-juice.

There are many different brands of vaping products out there. They vary widely in cost and quality. Most users start off buying cheap pens, then move on to more expensive models that offer higher levels of performance and convenience, such as rechargeable batteries and built-in tanks.

How does vaping work?

When you turn on an e-cigarette, heat begins to rise inside the device. As this happens, a cartridge containing e-liquid vaporizes. This vapor passes through one of two heating chambers where it picks up additional heat. It turns back into a liquid again when it hits the wick, and then moves onto your lungs.

The amount of nicotine you get depends on the model you buy. There are several ways to measure its strength. One method uses milligrams, while others use a rating system based on percentages. If you don’t know how much nicotine you want in your e-liquid, it helps to think of it in terms of milligrams. A standard pack of cigarettes has around 20 mg of nicotine. For example, one 5 ml bottle of e-liquid might contain 10-20 mg. If you choose a lower amount, make sure you’re always aware of the exact level.

Does vaping cause cancer?

It’s not clear whether there’s any link between vaping and cancer. Studies have shown, however, that vaping causes DNA damage, which could theoretically lead to cancer. Other studies suggest that vaping increases exposure to toxic chemicals in the air.

Some people worry that e-cigarettes will become a gateway drug to smoking. Others argue that they offer a safer alternative to traditional tobacco products. Either way, it’s important for smokers to read the labels carefully before purchasing their first vape pen. Here are some things you should look for:

1) Nicotine content:

How strong is it? Many manufacturers claim to use zero nicotine, but this isn’t necessarily true. In fact, most high-end models contain anywhere from 6% to 24% nicotine. If you want no nicotine, stick to low-, medium-, or ultra-low-strength liquids.

2) Flavorings:

Do they include harmful ingredients? Some companies advertise their flavors as being natural, but many contain carcinogens. Look for e-liquids that say 100% VG or PG, because these are healthier options.

3) Additives:

Are they safe? Some additives are known to cause cancer, including diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), diacetyl, acrolein, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, and benzene. Read the label for information on these additives.

E-cigarettes have a lot of pluses. They’re usually cheaper than traditional tobacco products, and they often provide a better taste and feel. However, there are also potential downsides. For starters, some people are concerned that e-cigarettes may be worse for your health than traditional cigarettes. They may also increase your risk of developing other health conditions — like COPD — even though some studies show otherwise.

Before a person can plan to do the vaping he must be clear as exactly what it is? Even the complete idea on its working will prove to be beneficial option. A person can make the น้ำยา relx and get the option that will prove to be a fruitful one.  In the long run the option will give good results.

Are they safer than regular cigarettes?

The jury is still out on this question. On the one hand, e-cigarettes don’t produce smoke. So they’re supposed to be less dangerous for nonsmokers than traditional cigarettes. On the other hand, they release potentially harmful toxins (like benzene) into the air. So, it’s unclear whether they pose a lower overall risk than conventional smokes.

Studies currently underway will help us answer this question once and for all. The FDA recently asked eight major research groups to compare the health effects of e-cigarettes with traditional ones. They also want to examine the chemical composition of the aerosol emitted by e-cigarettes. If the results confirm the safety claims made by manufacturers, then vaping could prove to be a viable option for smokers looking for alternatives.

Other studies are evaluating the effect of using e-cigarettes in place of tobacco. Researchers believe that switching over could save lives. If vaping is proven to be safe, this would mean fewer deaths each year due to cigarette consumption.

What about secondhand smoke?

If you’re worried about the possible health effects of passive smoking, vaping offers an attractive alternative. It produces no smoke, so it doesn’t expose nonsmokers to the dangers of secondhand smoke.

However, there are still unanswered questions about the impact of vaping on bystanders. Studies show that e-cigarettes can leak hazardous chemicals into the surrounding environment, and that they can contaminate nonusers who breathe in the vapors.

Should I try vaping instead of quitting smoking?

Whether e-cigarettes are safer than traditional cigarettes or not, they aren’t completely without risk. As a result, most experts recommend that people give them a try only after talking to their doctor. If you decide to use an e-cigarette as part of your quitting plan, follow these guidelines:

1) Buy your first e-cigarette from a reputable company. Avoid buying from websites offering free samples, since there’s a good chance you won’t receive your order.

2) Make sure your starter kit includes everything you need to take full advantage of its features. This means a charger, extra cartridges, a USB port, and a carrying case.

3) Read the manufacturer’s instructions thoroughly. Don’t hesitate to call customer service if you have questions.

4) If you experience any problems with your device, contact customer support immediately.

5) Follow the same rules when refilling your cartridges. Never throw away empty containers! Always dispose of them properly.

6) Keep a record of all your vaping activity. Take a photo of your device every time you use it, and keep track of how often you do so. That way, you can determine whether your e-cigarette usage is effective and reduce your risk of developing a dependency.

7) Be aware of any side effects you experience while using your first e-cigarette. Report anything unusual to your doctor right away.

8) Consider switching to another brand if you find that your vaping experience is unpleasant.

9) Use your e-cigarette regularly until you no longer want to smoke. Then, gradually replace your nicotine inhalations with vaporized e-liquid.

10) Try to avoid mixing your nicotine with other drugs or medications. Doing so can make it difficult to tell if you’re getting the correct dosage.

E-cigarettes are just one tool in your arsenal for kicking the habit. They’re unlikely to replace every aspect of your daily routine, but if used correctly, they can certainly help you get started. Remember: Vaping requires patience and discipline, but it’s worth the effort.
